| Abilities: |
Avispa, specifically because of her history, is very fit and possesses incredible analytical and deductive capabilities. She is also able to survive on a minimal diet and can fend for herself in the wild.
Puzzles and challenges are nothing before her, given enough time and dedication to solving them, as the solutions seem to come to her as she works through them. Simple puzzles, such as rubix cubes, can be solved unconsciously. Her tendency to overanalyze even the simplest things, however, tends to be both a gift and a hindrance. There is no definition of "puzzle" in her mind, so even simple things can become puzzles to her.
Lastly, she lacks humor to the point that it could be called an ability. Whether it be not understanding the joke or overanalyzing it, she'll never "get" jokes, ever. Most jokes will result in either her brooding over it for the entire day, trying to solve it, and inevitably collapsing in confusion. |
| Personality: |
Prior to the events of SCRIB, Avispa was a lonely introvert with little to no desire to leave her hive. Outside was dangerous, outside was everything that could kill her, and outside was unknown. When the time came for her to actually be involved, for her to step up and be a part of something, she dove in with optimism and an outlook of excitement for the puzzles. She's only started to understand other trolls, though she makes every attempt to be open, friendly, and optimistic with them no matter what. It takes a very specific kind of individual to pull anything but a smile from her. Though she likes to be involved, she'll just as willingly sit aside, watching, listening. She often learns just as much from others as she does from trying to work it out herself.
Formerly, her typing quirk reflected her usual shy-natured, apprehensive style of speaking. She was often unsure of how to handle conversations, given that her exposure to other trolls was limited, and she wasn't at all sure how conversations really were supposed to go. How were they solved? SCRIB, though, proved to be a "sink or swim" experience in which she ended up swimming laps past any and all expectations. Her apprehension was quickly replaced with enthusiasm, and her shyness was replaced with optimism. The instant that she learned it was something she could do, something she was capable of, nothing could dissuade her.
Still, occasional conversations can become puzzles to her, or topics that are brought up, or the individuals she speaks to. Anything has the capability to become a puzzle. When confused, she is prone to stuttering; which is only further accentuated by the added ellipses from her quirk. Of course, if the topic of conversation is a puzzle, there isn't anything that can stop her from going on and on until it's solved; even if the other party isn't at all interested in listening.
Contact with other trolls is something that she had, honestly, longed for. Being raised only by her lusus, a queen bee, and a swarm of bees had major disadvantages. Worse than that, any troll that happened to venture close would often die relatively quickly after stung multiple times by the bees from her hive. Leaving her hive, meanwhile, was out of the question. For her to try to be away from the protection of the bees and her lusus would invite the risk of death and put her life on the line. She absolutely did not want to die, but that meant being lonely and safe. Much like a princess trapped in a tower, she could do nothing but watch from a window as the world spun on.
Outdoors, which was only a luxury afforded when she hunted with her lusus, she focuses on everything around her to ensure that she doesn't die. Survival is of paramount importance, and death is unacceptable. That notion has never and will never leave her mind, that she does not want to and will not die. Upon joining SCRIB and meeting so many others that are trying to do the same thing, she makes it a priority to herself to ensure that she prevents them from dying as well. In her words, "You 4bsolutely c4n't die!"
Unfortunately, she has no proper sense of danger against foes and is unable to discern between weak or strong enemies; which can lead her to being injured as a result of confronting a strong foe unintentionally. With survival as her primary goal, she fights in an almost cowardly manner utilizing strikes and stabs while fleeing from oncoming offenses. Thankfully, this means that her priority in battle is to defend herself and her allies as well as she can. Shields, barriers, safeguards, armor, anything that could be used to prevent the loss of life.
Puzzles are core to her existence, and if she has not solved four puzzles in a day, she will be entirely unable to sleep. Not because she is physically unable, as her body will demand rest, but because her mind will refuse to give in until the final puzzle is solved. Four, every day, no matter what. Of course, this means that after she solves her fourth puzzle, nothing will exist to stop her from drifting off. Thankfully, she's always easily woken due to her survival instincts and immediate need to flee if her life is in danger, but she'll never truly restfully sleep. If it were to happen enough, she'd overexert herself and get exhausted relatively quickly. Sleep can only be neglected for so long before it takes its toll. |
| History: |
With her Queen Bee Lusus, Avispa spent the majority of her life surviving in the wild. Her world provided constant challenges, puzzles, and obstacles. Her Queen Bee Lusus began their honeycomb hive in the center of the largest rock mountain. Any threats to the hive were often killed off with ease before coming close to the center. As Avispa grew, she ventured further through the hive and solved challenges and obstacles impeding the growth of the hive within the mountain. Never once did life allow her to settle in and create a proper room in her hive, as she moved around the hive from day to day, never staying in the same room twice.
The biggest challenge was food. Though mushrooms and plant growth within the rocky mountain could sustain Avispa in her youth, they were not enough as she grew older. Growing skilled as a hunter, Avispa replaced her lusus outside of the hive; within the hive, her lusus' primary focus became expanding the hive itself, lacing the tunnels throughout the mountain with defensive honeycombs. Though experienced, Avispa's cowardly style of fighting while focusing exclusively on her own survival makes her a weak fighter, unable to take down larger foes; though she fights them anyway, strong or weak.
Unique foes taken down either by herself or by her lusus, however, intrigue her. One of a kind creatures, for example, puzzle her in that she wonders why there were not more of them. She tends to keep trophies from these creatures. The most notable trophy that she possesses is a full skull from a hornbeast that fits upon her much like a mask.
Adapting to her survivalist needs, Avispa's hive is typically kept in her honeycomb fetch modus while her computer is mobile, contained in a set of glasses or goggles, depending on the weather. |
| Introduction: |
Your name is AVISPA KUSBIR.
You live in a set of HONEYCOMBS that is also a HIVE, but still mostly just sticky HONEYCOMBS. You like to solve PUZZLES, but quite often the DANGEROUS KIND. You simply can't tell the DANGEROUS KIND apart from the SAFE KIND! You've been injured quite a few times from your lack of FORESIGHT.
Your daily routine is a PUZZLE from day to day. You solve your way through your HONEYCOMBS, often cleaning up leftover HONEY or adding to your HONEYCOMB FETCH MODUS! You often find various FLYING BEASTS or INTRUDERS caught or stuck in the HONEY. Your clever QUEEN BEE LUSUS takes care of both; she has always made sure you were well fed since you were a GRUB.
Outside of your HIVE, you can't really say you know too many other TROLLS. Maybe your CURIOSITY and PUZZLE-SOLVING desires will help change that? After all, there are probably even BETTER PUZZLES outside of your HIVE. To protect yourself, you keep with you your trusty STILETTO.
Your trolltag is apiaryCryptonaut and your speech is 4ctu4lly 4 little 4pprehensive... sometimes, 4t le4st for... now, since you h4ven't... left your hive yet... You wonder wh4t puzzles... 4re w4iting in your... future, it's sc4ry, m4ybe. |

| Thief of Doom [Theorized Idea]: |
As a Thief, Avispa is able to steal "Doom" from her allies or enemies and utilize it as a weapon as she sees fit. She is capable of holding on to the "Doom" that is stolen and can freely release it when she chooses to do so.
Avispa's aspect of "Doom" pertains primarily to the negatives that are responsible for leading other trolls to their own demise. Both physical dooms and emotional dooms, if severe enough, can be her target; however she cannot "steal" people who are responsible for "Doom". Physical weapons are not living, however, and thus are able to be stolen.
As a Thief of Doom, Avispa is able to effectively "steal" a "Doom" at the moment that it occurs and store it to be unleashed later. Avispa, given her fascination and infatuation with unique skulls, chooses to store stolen "Doom" individually in the skulls that she has collected. If a skull has stored "Doom", it will begin floating nearby her at all times and cannot be captchalogued again. The more "Doom" she collects, the more "Doom" surrounds her.
She is able to unleash the "Doom" again upon her enemies (or allies) at will, but only after it has been stored. Her ability does not allow her to instantaneously take in and then immediately release "Doom"; she requires a minimum of four days for the "Doom" to settle and be weaponized within the skull it is stored in. |
| ALTERNIA: Original Hive |
On Alternia, prior to her entry into the game and arrival in the medium, Avispa's hive with her Queen Bee lusus was nestled in a large number of trees directly beside a sheer cliff and chasm. A nearby forest provided ample opportunities to learn how to survive as well as to hunt with her lusus. Dangers were often avoided without hesitation and fleeing was always the first choice.
As a Queen Bee, however, Avispa's lusus (and by extension her hive) was notoriously dangerous not to her but to other trolls who dared to sneak too close. Swarms of bees resided in the large nest that Avispa called her hive, despite her relatively small living space within, and wouldn't hesitate to swarm and sting anyone who came too close.
Upon entry into the medium, however, the bees view everyone and everything as a threat; Avispa included. |
| LOSAR: Land of Skulls and Rust |
LOSAR is comprised primarily of a post-apocalyptic landscape consisting entirely of ruins, rubble, and remains. The skyline is permanently darkened, filled with smoky, ashen clouds that never disperse. Due to the incredibly high level pollution present on LOSAR, sunlight cannot penetrate through the cloud cover and rarely even brightens the landscape at all. At night, however, without the harsh intensity of the sun bearing down on the ashen clouds, the stars are faint enough to be visible.
The terrain of LOSAR is rocky, covered in a thick layer of boulders, debris and, most notably, skulls. Most of the debris, and even boulders, are the remains of buildings and other civilization-made structures that fell along with the entirety of the planet. For an unknown reason, there are particles that constantly rise away from the ground itself and fade away upwards into the sky. [ Example of the Particles ]
Beneath the rubble, protruding from the skull-littered, ruined terrain is a large complex of corridors, rooms, and memories of a lost population. The advanced nature of the former civilization is evident in the ruins, and numerous locked doors and rooms can be found throughout the mazes below.
Below the surface, there are remains of the civilization that still remain intact and occasionally activate. A prime example of intact remnants are the various [tech name] that, regularly, open holes in the clouds to permit the sunlight to pierce through. A number of skeletal remains can be found littered around the sites of these remnants, theorized to have either met their end by the remnant itself or by the rays of the sun piercing through upon them. Many of the remnants that can be found are equally as dangerous and almost always end in the death of any being nearby.
It is in the network of ruins below that Avispa and her Queen Bee Lusus have established their hive. Avispa solves and opens locked doors to reveal more of the complex to expand the hive while her lusus follows behind, filling the hallways with honey and honeycombs. Having long since given up an offensive role, her lusus remains behind while Avispa clears out any potential threats (Imps!!!) as the hive is expanded.
Upon their initial arrival in the medium, Avispa's original hive did not take well to being moved and led to her and her lusus fleeing into the network of rooms and hallways beneath LOSAR to re-establish a hive. Unfortunately, this means that all seven of Avispa's gates are located above her original entry location instead of her current hive location.
LOSAR is inhabited by Wisp consorts and its denizen is ???.
